Growing Hibiscus in Containers
Don't do what we did with Pony - gradually move into larger pots (not shock).
Hibiscus needs at least 6 hours of sunlight.
If placed in the front of house (outside) water frequently.
If placed inside the house, monitor watering accordingly.
Temperatures for Growing Hibiscus
Summer - does well between 60-90 degrees.
Winter - bring inside once the weather starts to cool. Keep near window.
Watering Hibiscus
Warm weather - lots of water
Cooler weather - not as much
Winter - water only when the soil is dry.
Fertilizing Hibiscus
Summer - High Potassium fertilizer (Slow release once a month)
Winter - no fertilizer
Fertilizer Options:
Dr. Earth Exotic Blend - Amazon - complaints of the fertilizer being a little too smelly for indoor use.
